Please join me and special guest teacher Peyton Turner for this incredible retreat where you will be expressing your own inner creativity and joy through movement and art. I’m so excited to be including my good friend - intuitive medium and artist Peyton Turner - on this retreat. We will lead you for one week in paradise as we sync with nature, the waves, our breath, and our creative flow. Whether you are a beginner who hasn’t made art since kindergarten or a seasoned artist looking for a new perspective, this retreat is for you.

A masterful teacher with a keen ability to meet the needs of her students exactly where they are, Peyton will guide you in creating colorful, intuitive art as unique as you. Some possible creative experiences include:

Learning how to make and interpret your own tarot cards
Painting auras
Creating mandalas from natural objects
Painting with your inner child

The whole retreat is basically outside in the glorious warm weather - we yoga outside, we eat outside, we hang out in the multiple lounge areas, we are inspired + create … all outside! The rooms are simple and sweet, with a private bathroom for each room, and A/C. We will spend time in meditation, practicing yoga, bird watching, creating, walking the beach… just reconnecting with nature and ourselves.

Costa Rica is one of my favorite places in the world! Playa Hermosa is a sleepy little beach town about 10 minutes driving from the larger beach town of Jaco, on the Pacific Coast of Costa Rica. I have been leading retreats to this area of Costa Rica since 2014, and it is truly the best. It is literally life changing, and I so want you to experience it. Our villa is right on the beach, mere steps from the sand, and you hear the waves all the time. It is pure heaven as your body syncs back up with nature. Fall asleep to the soothing sound of waves, wake up and salute the sun with yoga! Tap into your joy as you feel inspired, and have plenty of time to create and journal. Eat delish meal prepared by our private chef - my partner Ragen! If you know Ragen, you know the man can cook - and is cautious with all food sensitivities.

We will also have plenty of time to lounge at the pool, read a book, go for a beach stroll, hang out at one of the cute little smoothie/beach bars within walking distance, head into Jaco for some shopping, schedule a surfing lesson, go hiking in the rainforest, zip line or another excursion.

At the end of the day we will watch the sunset and eat a lovingly prepared meal.

Sample Schedule:

Thursday Feb 20

Arrive to SJO Airport. Everyone will be staying at the same hotel by the airport (included in your retreat price) the night of Feb 14 so that the whole group can arrive, settle in, get a good night’s sleep, and be ready to depart the next morning for the beach!

Friday Feb 21

Take the private group shuttle to our Villa by the Sea, arriving with the whole day ahead of you to settle in, explore, and relax with the sound of the waves. Lunch will be provided this day, and we will have our opening yoga class, with dinner that evening.

Saturday Feb 22 >>> Tuesday Feb 25

Everyday pretty much starts with fruit + coffee (or tea!), yoga class, breakfast and then whatever the day’s activities will be. These might include: surfing (it is SO FUN, and our instructors are amazing), a horseback riding tour through the jungle to a natural mud bath, a trip into the local beach town of Jaco for some souvenir shopping, a trip to the Rainmaker Forest, which is a beautiful hike with waterfalls, swimming pools, and hanging bridges, an ocean-side massage, Ziplining through the canopy, or just relaxing on the beach. We will have also have our creative art time, often starting with some movement and a guided meditation to bring us into a creative space guided by Peyton. There is also a really awesome Cacao Ceremony experience from my teachers Lisa and Flori that people might like to participate in. Sunset every night (because I love it so much), followed by a delish dinner by our private chef Ragen.

I am beyond thrilled to have my inspirational friend and teacher Peyton along for this retreat!

Peyton has a Masters in Teaching, is a 200 hour Registered Yoga Teacher, and is the owner of the SHINE Gallery in Louisville, Kentucky. She is a published author currently working on her second book, SHINE, an illustrated children’s book for the kid in us all.

Peyton practiced cardiac surgery and general cardiology for 14 years before following her intuition and leaving medicine in December of 2019 to pursue other passions. Since that time she has served as an intuitive life coach, a shamanic practitioner and medium, and built her art business. Through it all, Peyton’s integrity and her intuition have guided her every step of the way. She is passionate about bringing light and joy into the world through art, and honored to be sharing this retreat space with you!
